House of Dubhros is a family owned studio specializing in handmade heirloom quality creations. In addition to our unique designs and one of a kind pieces, we offer jewelry wrought from legend and folklore, hand cut gems, and a multitude of other creations you can only find at the House of Dubhros.
Each piece is truly a gift from the past, to the present, for the future.
In keeping with our concern for our environment and its people, our sterling jewelry is made from reclaimed silver. Since the silver was professional refined from scrap in the United States it is visually and chemically identical to the mine processed silver that is standard in the jewelry industry, however no land was strip mined to create your new heirloom.
The leather, antler, and other animal products we use in our art are a byproduct of food production, or have been upcycled from already existing items.
Though many of the natural materials we use come from around the world, we only source from companies in the United States with no history of humanitarian issues. This is done both to ensure the quality of our art, and the preserve the ethics behind it.
Whenever possible we prefer to barter with local businesses and crafts folk, and to reinforce our commitment to local community building we also offer some items created by other local craft folk here in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We are selective on who we deal with to ensure the high standards of quality and ethical responsibility established by House of Dubhros are met and maintained by the artists and craft folk we deal with in the region.
You can wear our works with pride knowing that not only was it created under humane conditions, but also that that the money spent here will continue to do good in the local community.
