Ouroboros
This Ouroboros pendant was created by pulling sterling silver through a draw plate. The head is hand forged, and the diamondback pattern was created with file work. It lacks a bail and is meant to be worn by sliding a chain or leather cord through the center.
The Ouroboros, or tail bitter, is most known from alchemical symbology. This symbology drew heavily on Gnosticism and Hermeticism which in turn was influenced by Greek and Near Eastern folk belief. Its definitive meaning varies by culture but usually revolves around themes of renewal, rebirth and transformation.
