St. Isidore's Birthstone Chart
This list was compiled by Bishop Isidore of Seville in 619 A.D. It is the oldest complete set of western birthstones known to exist. It is strongly influenced by the foundation stones of Jerusalem, as described in the Christian religious text the Book of Revelations.
